Then I went through the puddle SPLISH SPLASH keeping my pace with Konrad still footsteps away Adults and kids cheering for us GO GO GO I pick up my pace trying my hardest to get  in front of Konrad but his pace is  too quick for me then ZOOM he leaves dust in my eyes. Then my second attempt to run up the hill but it had no faze on me .
I passed the finish line 2 laps down 1 more to go I tried my hardest to catch up to Konrad but he sprints ahead of me like a blink of an eye I still carry on not giving up I was on my last lap jogging my fastest. What do you need to work on to improve your writing?

How to analyse my writing

Ingredients:
  • My Cross Country writing
  • A copy of the matrix
  • The Read Write tool
  • The Writing Rubric
  • A copy of the rainbow cake ( to refer to only)
  • A reliable person (who knows how to use the rubric) to help and support me

Method:
Turn my thinking cap on to (200 degrees) focus on.  Make a copy of the writing matrix.  Name it and file it in my writing.
When I have finished my writing make a copy and add it to my  matrix under My Writing.
Read through my writing to make sure it is clear in my head.  Click and open the writing rubric in the Indicator box.

With my partner, I read the ideas indicator in level 4 , 5, and 6 and talk with my partner to say whether my writing is a level 4 , 5, or a 6 and why.  I can say ( I think it is this because……..) and I highlight what these may look like in my writing.  I then can copy the indicator into the far right box where it says ideas.  I can decide to use all or those that is relevant to my writing. Check that our thinking cap is still in focus.

I work through all the other indicators with my partner until I have completed all parts of the rainbow cake. CHECK WITH ME!

Add the icing, by writing comments about three things you did well in your writing, what your next learning steps will be

And place your cake on your blog.  DO NOT ADD THIS RECIPE. COPY ONLY THE WALT & THE SC, THE MATRIX AND THE COMMENTS.

My Book Review

Book Review The Eighth Wonder Of The World The book was about The pink terrace and a tourism trip in the olden days. The pink terrace looked beautiful then earthquakes rattled the region and then Mount Tarawera erupted. When the villagers saw it the next morning the pink terraces were covered in ash and mud and more than 100 people got killed. People thought the pink and white terraces were gone forever. Then they made an invention to go in the surface of the volcanos and to go into the lake to check the temperature and a scan come up got the scientist thinking the pink and white terraces are still there. I would recommend this book because it has interesting facts that people should know and I really enjoyed it.
