This is my speech on why sport is good for you hope you enjoy!

Why  Sport Is Good For You
You don't want to win sometimes you want to win all the time
                                        you do things right
sometimes in reality you want to do them right all of the time, winning is a goal.

I strongly  believe sport is good for you If you think not, I hope by the end of this speech I would have convinced you enough as to ‘Why sports is good for you’.

32% of kiwi kids and teens aged up to 17 will be obese or overweight by 2025 Being obese is not what a parent would want especially if their child is only young it may increase the risk of many health problems, including diabetes, heart  disease, certain cancers and plenty other types of health problems. For big people gaining weight may not affect you as much as you think but without you knowing it is increasing the chances of health issues  Sport can also make you feel more hungrier than usual it is your body adapting to the new things you do and it is expanding much more energy than it used to.  That is why sport is good is keeps you in shape, you will have a healthy body, healthy lifestyle of eating and you will learn how to keep your body healthy.

Sports will not only improve your health it will also improve your strength, fitness, speed, footwork, ball skills and agility. Many of these things will help you with sports like rugby league, rugby, soccer and so on. Building confidence when you are playing sport you show your team or coach new things like games, skills and even new drills but at the same time you're learning new things as well.

Sport is not just all about weight loss, obesity or who has the biggest muscles, sports can take you places and you could even have a good career by doing sport. You could become the highest paid athlete or best nrl player or rugby player there are so many opportunities you have out there BY DOING SPORT. For example Johnathan Thurston one of the best nrl players that could be you and he also gets paid 1.2 million dollars. That could be you.

I'm going to sum this all up by saying sports can change your life my name is Areka thanks for listening to my speech about sport.

We were researching about the Solar System - how it works and what happens in it. this is my finished research. enjoy.

We were reading a book called 'Should We De-Extinct The Moa?' and we had to do a google drawing about the pros and the cons of bringing the moa back.

What I thought

On a fine scorching hot  Sunday afternoon, we played the Hikurangi Stags, the top team in our competition and it was the Clash of the Titans, the Stags against Tautoro, two top teams. We all knew the winner of this game, will make them the true champs.

Tautoro Titans made the hard yards, we held a hard defence, and then it was time to keep their score as low as possible.. Stopping them in their tracks BOOM! THUMP! SMASH! big hits, left right and centre, then suddenly they scored, my heart is pounding, seeing the tryline is making me worried.

It is getting intense the game is close, all they needed is two points to beat us. But nothing will stop us. They broke through our line. ‘I’ve got to SMASH him!’ I thought,

They spread the ball out wide and they nearly scored, but BOOM! I hit their main main who was about to score. The Stags have numbers out one side and they swung it out BANG! Te Tai holds another Stag up, we are thankful that Te Tai was there.

It's last play the umpire tells us.

We quickly throw the ball out. Whistle blows that's full time YEAH we did it! We won. It was a phenomenal game of rugby league to experience.

We celebrated having a feed at their club. I made sure I had my filled to replenish the energy I lost on the field.
